William H. Mortensen Hall Features

Mortensen Hall, with its striking art-deco interior and state-of-the-art equipment, production, and support capabilities, can host any event – from Broadway, symphony, and rock concerts to onstage weddings, receptions, and corporate presentations. Mortensen Hall is a major stop for national touring Broadway shows, including recent Tony®-Award winners The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Jersey Boys and Billy Elliot The Musical. The theater also hosts The Connecticut Forum and many national touring acts, including recent performances by Tony Bennett, Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Brightman, Diana Krall, Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Vedder, WILCO, and Diana Ross. Patrons can look up and see Drama, the largest hand-painted ceiling mural of its type in the United States, representing ancient traditions and early 20th century modernity.

Maxwell M. and Ruth R. Belding Theater Features

The interior of the Belding Theater is intimate, modern, and luxurious. It is home to "Music of Spheres," a decorative painted ceiling mural that uses rich colors and textures. No seat in the theater is more than 75 feet from the stage. Above the orchestra level is a mezzanine that includes private box seating. Featuring generous lobby space and easy access to the Autorino Great Hall, the Belding Theater is the perfect venue for intimate theatrical and dance performances, private receptions, annual meetings, corporate events, movie premieres and community gatherings.

The Belding Theater is home to The Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s Masterworks Series. The theater has hosted a wide variety of nationally touring artists, including The Piano Guys, Jesse Cook, Matthew Morrison, Under The Street Lamp, Mike Birbiglia, Sesame Street LIVE!, and The Young at Heart Chorus.

Autorino Great Hall Features

The Autorino Great Hall is truly a dramatic space, completely surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and a veranda that overlooks the courtyard. The gable-vaulted ceiling rises 35 feet above the floor and provides the backdrop to artist Dale Chihuly’s “Ode to Joy” sculpture. This multi-purpose space is the ideal setting for all events from a lavish wedding reception to bar and bat mitzvahs, fundraisers, cocktail receptions, dinners, lectures, cabaret performances, and more.

Seaverns Room Features
